Professional Voice Actor - German (AI Training)

About the Role

What if your voice could directly shape how AI speaks with millions of German speakers around the world? We're looking for experienced German-language voice actors to record expressive, professional-grade audio and evaluate AI-generated speech - helping teach next-generation AI systems what natural, authentic German really sounds like.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working voice professionals. No AI background needed - just a commanding voice, a professional setup, and native-level fluency in German.

What You'll Do

• Record clear, expressive German-language audio using a large diaphragm microphone (LDM), following provided scripts and creative prompts
• Evaluate AI-generated German speech for naturalness, pronunciation accuracy, emotional tone, and overall quality
• Deliver detailed, actionable feedback to improve synthesized voice outputs
• Review scripts and suggest adjustments to improve clarity and ensure authentic, natural-sounding delivery
• Work independently and asynchronously - fully on your own schedule

Who You Are

• Experienced voice actor, narrator, audiobook reader, or voice-over professional
• Native or near-native fluency in German with a strong command of natural spoken delivery
• Equipped with a large diaphragm microphone and a quiet, acoustically controlled recording space
• Able to deliver engaging, expressive, and well-articulated performances across a range of styles and tones
• Sharp ear for nuance - you notice when pronunciation, rhythm, or emotion is slightly off
• No prior AI or tech experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience across multiple voice genres - commercial, documentary, e-learning, character work, or audiobooks
• Familiarity with regional German accents or dialectal variation
• Background in audio production, sound engineering, or broadcast media
• Prior experience evaluating or critiquing voice performance
